FMP Proposal

Upon reflection of my FMP Proposal and the feedback I received, I understand where I could have worked harder to create the best possible report.

Best explained by my mentor, the project proposal is supposed to be a guide that, should you follow what it says, will give you a certain outcome. With this is mind, my proposal definitely lacked depth and detail.

I blame my poor performance on too many distractions and not committing as much time to the project as it deserved. It took me a long time to settle on a project idea, being such a broad brief, the possibilities were endless and my indecisiveness meant I probably spent a little too long pondering on various ideas.

Speaking with my mentor, she explains my target audience needs to be narrowed, I have to find the niche and detail this specifically.

To Consider

These are topics discussed with my mentor during my tutorial, things to think about and act upon in the upcoming week.
  • Revise the unique selling point of Luxe Undone and explore how I am going to emphasise this through the content. I am also going to write an introduction for the site, maybe an editor's letter, that shall truly reflect the essence of the magazine.
  • SCHEDULING! I have an erratic way of producing work, I jump from one task to another, no formality. I believe it's important for me to strategise my work to combat my unruly work methods. I'm going to produce a revised schedule (altering the one from my proposal) of production.
  • I will begin designing the website and pages, liaising with my IT teacher to produce a professional looking site.
  • Think up some catchy item headers for recurring segments of the pages.
  • Consider deals and vouchers, advertise discount codes and hold competitions. Also look into advertising and pay per click as a strategy to earn money and improve readership.
